This book is brilliant and one of the best I've ever read. Atwood was so artful creating this dystopian society set in a near future, when a religious and conservative group took the power. This is a poetry book made of 19 poems which are full of sentiment, well written and beautiful. Some poems made me laugh, some made me feel sad, and others made me think about life. The book is name after my favourite poem. Click on the title to read more!
Although it's a thin book, it makes us think about so many subjects and it was so dexterous written that it's impossible to not love the story. Complex characters, conflicts, philosophy: ingredients for a very enjoyable reading time! I loved learning that Macbeth was a real person, although not exactly like his fictional character... The story is simple: it narrates the downfall of the Compson's family. What makes this book worth reading and such a classic is Faulkner's ability to tell the story. It was such a pleasure to read this book that I have to recommend it forever! Click on the title to keep reading!
